The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson throws a head kick but Hill moves out of range.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hill tries to break the clinch but Jackson is controlling the position.
Hill tries to score a body lock takedown but Jackson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Hill throws a head kick but Jackson moves out of range.

Hill throws a head kick that half lands.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hill is trying to break free.
Hill wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hill takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Jackson gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Jackson looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Jackson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Jackson decides to return to a standing position.
Hank Hill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jackson moves into range and clinches up with Hill.

Jackson turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Hill is letting Jackson control him for a moment.
Jackson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hill for as long as he can get away with.

and Jackson counters with a thumping low kick.
Hill lands a nice leg kick that just misses Jackson's sensitive parts.

Hill gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Hill is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Jackson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hill's guard.

Jackson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Jackson moves into range and clinches up with Hill.

Jackson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Hill must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Jackson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Hill!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jackson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Hill wants to stand and escape but Jackson is having none of it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Jackson has hold of Hill's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Hill tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Jackson cranks the arm and Hill screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Hill, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
