Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Andersen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andersen has chosen Shout at the devil as his entrance music. Kevin Andersen is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Steel drops Andersen with a beautiful combination! Andersen stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Steel is looking for the KO!

It looks like Kevin Andersen has been cut.
Andersen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Andersen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Steel avoids it really well and circles away.
A combination from Steel does no damage.
Steel throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Steel throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Steel throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Andersen.

Andersen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Steel to the mat! Steel manages to get full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Steel has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Andersen throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Steel works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Andersen wants to pass the guard but Steel is keeping the position.

Steel pushes Andersen off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Andersen takes one to the chin there.
Steel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Andersen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Steel throws a right and a left that both miss.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Andersen.
John Steel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Andersen.
A nice combination there by Steel.
Andersen looks gassed!
Steel fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Steel fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Andersen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Steel lands a left and a right that send Andersen crashing to the mat, dazed. Steel thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

That has opened up Kevin Andersen's cut even more.
Steel closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Andersen out cold! Andersen corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). John Steel!
