Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edwina Wu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wu comes to the cage accompanied by YMCA. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wu as he jumps to the side.
Wu misses with a two punch combination.
Powers tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wu paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Wu closes the distance and pushes Powers back into the cage.
Wu scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Powers tries to circle away but Wu has him pinned against the cage.
Wu lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Wu scores with a shot to the side of Powers's head.
Wu scores with an uppercut up the middle.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Wu.
Wu avoiding damage as Powers throws knees to the body.

Wu breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wu scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Powers wants to clinch
and Wu counters with a one-two to the body.
Wu throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Powers.
Nice takedown defense from Wu. No joy for Powers on that attempt.
Wu leaves Powers with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Edwina Wu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Powers.

Powers is trying hard to land a takedown here. Wu sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
A punch combination from Wu misses.
Edwina Wu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wu's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Wu duly obliges.

Wu clinches up with Powers and pushes him back against the cage.
Wu is trying to break the clinch but Powers is controlling him.
Powers can't find room to land a body shot as Wu controls the action.
Wu lands with a left to the head.
Powers is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Wu pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Wu tries to circle away but Powers has him pinned against the cage.
Powers tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Wu smiles and moves away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Wu looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wu lands with an uppercut that bounces Powers off the cage and back into rage.

Powers fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wu sprawls well initially but Powers persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Powers throwing shots but Wu is blocking nicely.
Powers sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Wu defending well though.
Wu trying to control but Powers postures up.
Powers passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Wu!
Powers postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Wu looks a forlorn figure.
The referee warns Wu that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Powers has hold of Wu's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Wu manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Powers throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Wu is trying to escape the mount.
Powers tries to control but Wu wriggling away.
Wu is wriggling around trying to escape.
Wu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Powers on the ground.
Powers can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Wu is looking to escape.
Powers has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Wu is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Powers wants to control the pace but Wu is squirming around nicely.
Powers in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Wu tries to reverse the position but Powers maintains control.
Powers working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Wu is breathing heavily.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Powers cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Powers looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Wu tries to hold on but Powers pushes him away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Powers content just to control the position here.
Wu keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Max Powers dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Powers shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Wu napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Wu takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Powers is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Wu knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Wu looks to move to half guard but instead Powers has passed into mount! Damn!

Powers is landing with some decent strikes but Wu is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Powers pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Wu is rocked!
Powers connects with a bit shot that sees Wu covering up! More strikes from Powers and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Powers is our winner by TKO!
