The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reis jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Benoit takes a kick to the side of the head.
Reis connects with a nice looking jab.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Benoit lands with an overhand left.

Benoit closes the distance and lands a one-two.
No joy there for Benoit, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

A combination from Benoit does no damage.

Benoit throws a chopping leg kick but Reis manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Benoit throws a sloppy head kick and Reis moves out of range easily.
Benoit looks to land a combination but Reis avoids it well.
Reis lands a slapping body shot.

Reis pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Benoit, right into the meat.

Reis throws a lazy right hand but Benoit sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Benoit scores with a hook to the body. Reis takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Benoit works Reis's body with a nice hook.
Reis throws a half hearted mid kick.
Benoit moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Reis looks gassed!
Benoit connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Benoit works Reis's body with a nice hook.
Benoit tries a head kick but it misses.
Benoit throws a nice outside leg kick.
Benoit lands with a slapping head kick.

Reis is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Reis chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Benoit can pounce on him.
Rodrigo Reis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A decent looking cross lands there for Benoit.
Reis is still on wobbly legs! Can Benoit finish him?
Benoit scores with a hook to the body. Reis takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Benoit throws an overhand right that drops Reis like a sack of potatoes! Benoit dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
