The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wenkel throws a shot from downtown. Paiva moves away and avoids it.

Wenkel throws a body punch but Paiva moves out of range.
Paiva slips a jab from Wenkel.
Paiva tries to land a front kick but Wenkel steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Paiva takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Wenkel throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Jonas Wenkel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Paiva misses with a few strikes there.

Wenkel tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Wenkel avoids a punch combination nicely.
Paiva looks to land a combination but Wenkel avoids it well.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Wenkel! Paiva is out on his feet! Wenkel rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Paiva is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Paiva is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
