The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Saplin throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Smith's head.
Saplin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Smith.
Smith shoots in for a takedown but Saplin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
BoVanianasashaniquanice Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
