And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dog Beta!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beta displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as van der Vaart throws out the jab.
Beta doesn't manage to clinch there - van der Vaart circles away.
Beta moves out of range of the strikes.
Beta ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
van der Vaart missing with a left hand there. Beta was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Beta is defended easily by van der Vaart.
Beta tries to clinch up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
van der Vaart cracks Beta with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
van der Vaart misses with the combination.

The fighters circling - van der Vaart throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
van der Vaart throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
van der Vaart misses with a hook.
Beta walks into a straight right hand from van der Vaart.
Beta shoots for a takedown but van der Vaart saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
van der Vaart misses with a jab, cross combination.
Beta tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but van der Vaart paws at him with a jab and circles away.
van der Vaart stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and van der Vaart wants it to stay on the feet.
Soloman van der Vaart has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dog Beta.

Soloman van der Vaart is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Beta takes one to the chin there.
Beta tries to close the distance and clinch but van der Vaart swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
van der Vaart keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
van der Vaart lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
van der Vaart swats away the attempt to clinch by Beta.
van der Vaart dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Beta looks gassed!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Beta shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with van der Vaart but van der Vaart pushes him off and we're back to square one.
It's a brutal combination of punches from van der Vaart! Beta is backing up but he can't get away as van der Vaart lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Beta and ends the fight. Great knockout.
