Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dirk Slamfist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Weiner Whipple (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slamfist's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Eminence Front. Whipple has chosen Awesome New Metallica Song as his entrance music. Weiner Whipple told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whipple shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Slamfist pinned against the cage. Slamfist gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Slamfist thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Whipple trying to hold on to Slamfist's head to control him but Slamfist postures up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Slamfist fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Whipple sprawls well initially but Slamfist persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Whipple manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Whipple is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Slamfist is just riding it out for now. Whipple eventually gives up the hold.
