The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goethe misses with a jab, cross combination.
McNally throws a series of punches but Goethe avoids them all with ease.
McNally throws a nice looking combination but Goethe bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
McNally misses with an uppercut. Goethe saw that one coming.
McNally digs a good body shot into Goethe's ribs.
McNally cracks Goethe with a good jab.

Goethe rushes McNally and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Goethe pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
McNally throws a right and a left that both miss.

Goethe rushes McNally and presses him up against the cage.

Goethe pulls guard successfully.
Goethe looking for a sweep. Not yet Goethe, not yet.
Goethe could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Goethe has control of McNally's left arm, preventing McNally from doing any damage.
Goethe might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Goethe throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
McNally won't allow Goethe to sweep him here.
Goethe has control of McNally's left arm, preventing McNally from doing any damage.
Goethe tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Goethe throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Goethe looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
McNally tries to stand but Goethe is controlling from the bottom.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
McNally scores with a jab.
Goethe takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Goethe is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in McNally's half guard.
McNally is trying to stand back up but Goethe is controlling him

Goethe stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows McNally to get to his feet.
A combination from McNally does no damage.

McNally lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by McNally.
Whack! Goethe lands a heavy head kick that drops McNally. The ref tackles Goethe to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because McNally was done.
