Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Correa drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Wilks keeping full guard, as Correa tries to pass.
Correa slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Correa throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wilks works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Wilks can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Correa controls the pace.
Correa trying to control the position from guard on top but Wilks is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Wilks tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Correa controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Wilks trying to control the position.
Wilks looking to control but Correa passes into half guard.
Correa perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Despite being in the dominant position, Wesly Correa just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Wilks throws a hook but Correa avoids it easily.

Correa moves into the clinch.

Correa turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Correa controls the position.
Correa throws a strike aimed at the side of Wilks's head but Wilks avoids it well.
Wilks is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Wilks seems a little lost for a moment, as Correa dominates the positioning.

Wilks wants to control but Correa postures up.
Wilks wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Wilks is looking for a sweep.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Correa uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wilks.

A punch lands to the side of Correa 's head but he takes it in his stride.


It looks like Wesly Correa has been cut.
Wilks thows a left - swing and a miss!

Correa drives through and clinches with Wilks against the cage.
Correa works on Wilks's body with a couple of short punches.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Correa looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Correa takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Wilks looking for submissions off his back.
Correa is thwarting Wilks's attempts to control the position.
Wilks is trying to stand back up but Correa is controlling him

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Correa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wilks swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Correa is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Correa working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Correa loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Correa decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Wilks tries to keep at a distance but Correa has taken the fight into the clinch.
Correa tries to circle away but Wilks has him pinned against the cage.

Correa jumps guard.
Correa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Wilks wants to control from the top but Correa keeps moving.

Correa is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Correa working a defensive guard but Wilks manages to pass into side control anyway.
Wilks wants to lay and pray for a moment but Correa keeps working.

Correa bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Brad Wilks is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Wilks throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Wilks throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Wilks throws the left hand but Correa avoids the punch easily.

Correa closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wilks did well to prevent Correa getting side control.

Correa is breathing heavily.

Correa wants to control from the top but Wilks keeps moving.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Wilks misses with a wild body shot.
Wilks lunges at Correa with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Correa's hand.

Correa throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Wilks was covering up waiting for the punch and Correa finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Correa won't allow Wilks to sweep him here.

Correa works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Wesly Correa has got the better of the ground game so far.
Wilks wants to get back to his feet.

Correa moves nicely into side control.
Wilks is not content to let Correa control the position.
You can see the frustration on Wilks's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Correa slows the pace down.
Correa working away.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Wilks tries to buck Correa off but Correa is having none of it.
Correa in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Wilks wants to control but Correa postures up.
Correa wants to control but Wilks is keeping him busy.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Correa moves into range and clinches up with Wilks.
Wilks tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Correa just stands there and leans against the cage.
Wilks tries to pull guard but Correa holds him up against the cage and eventually Wilks drops back down to his feet.

Wilks thows a body shot but no joy.

Correa is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Wilks's half guard.

Correa seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Correa tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Wilks.
Correa takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Wilks is trying to stand up here but Correa is controlling him well.

Wilks is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Brad Wilks has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Wilks is trying to maintain the position but Correa is very close to passing his half guard.
Correa is controlling the pace.

Correa is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Wilks still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Wilks has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

I would just about give that final round to Wesly Correa.
I've got Correa winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
