Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Czyk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cheik Congo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Congo is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Down With The Sickness. Cheik Congo looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Congo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Congo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Czyk swivels and escapes.

Czyk closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Congo looks gassed!

Czyk is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Congo has managed to free his arm - good work.
Czyk wants to lay and pray for a moment but Congo keeps working.

Congo takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Czyk connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Congo some visible discomfort.

Congo is pushing Czyk's head away, looking to escape. Czyk manages to hold on to the position though.
Czyk lands a few punches from side control.
Congo gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Czyk is working for a guillotine from mount but Congo frees his head quite easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Congo wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Czyk thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Czyk with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
