PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Franz Mueller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leon Cobra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cobra has chosen x GON GIVE IT TO YA as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and Donald Grub.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Cobra.

Cobra rushes Mueller and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Mueller wants a takedown.
Cobra prevents the takedown attempt.
Mueller blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Cobra successfully pulls guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Mueller cracks Cobra with a solid left hand.

Mueller loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Cobra seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mueller does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well Cobra has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
