The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slakov fails to land the takedown.

jonilenko stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Slakov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

jonilenko decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
jonilenko uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Slakov.

jonilenko wants to stand and escape but Slakov is having none of it.

jonilenko manages to escape and get back to his feet.
