The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Newman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Newman accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Langler lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Newman circles away quickly and effectively.

Langler is bucking up trying to escape but Newman cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Langler keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Langler can't escape the position.
Newman tries to control but Langler wriggling away.
Newman with shots to the head and body - Langler looks very uncomfortable down there.
Langler flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Langler wants to control but Newman is having none of it.
Newman prevents Langler from getting the reversal.

Newman is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Langler can't stay in a position like this for much longer.


Jeez, Robbie Langler's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Robbie Langler's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Shawn Newman!
