Hatfield comes to the cage accompanied by Flirtin With Disaster. Hannibal Hatfield is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, William Barker!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jorge Garcia and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hatfield throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Barker ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Barker shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Barker showed some decent athleticism there.

Barker wants to free his trapped foot but Hatfield is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Hatfield is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Barker pulls his head out easily.

Barker misses with a low kick as Hatfield jumps back.
Barker ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Barker slips a jab from Hatfield.
Barker throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Hatfield's head.


It looks like Hannibal Hatfield has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Barker pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Barker attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Hatfield looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Hatfield scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Barker throws a leg kick but Hatfield sees it coming and moves out of range.

Barker cracks Hatfield with a right hand to the side of the head.
Barker throws a leg kick which misses Hatfield's front leg but catches the back leg as Hatfield tries to avoid it.

and Barker counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hatfield!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hatfield defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Barker.

Barker throws some wild stikes that Hatfield manages to avoid easily.

Barker goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Hatfield turns into him and now he's in Barker's guard.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Hatfield is stalling in the full guard.

Hatfield wants to control from the top but Barker keeps moving.
Barker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hatfield is one step ahead there.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Barker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hatfield's guard.

Barker drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hatfield manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Barker has Hatfield in his guard.
Barker manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hatfield manages to get himself to full guard.

Barker is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Hatfield has his foot on Barker's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Barker works his way back into a safe position though.
