PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marion Cobretti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitus Peering (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cobretti comes to the cage accompanied by Frank Sinatra - Fly me to the moon. Peering has chosen Saint Vitus Dance as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from Cobretti.
Cobretti lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Peering bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cobretti wants to control but Peering postures up.
Cobretti is trying to get back to his feet.
Cobretti can't do much from the bottom here.
Peering throwing strikes but Cobretti manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Cobretti goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Peering rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Cobretti's guard! Nice work there by Peering!
Cobretti will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Peering pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cobretti is keeping the position for now.
Peering must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Peering is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Peering avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Peering tries to free his leg and advance position but Cobretti is retaining full guard.
Cobretti wants to stand but Peering is controlling the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Peering gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Peering misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Peering looks gassed!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Peering swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Cobretti is trying to force a seperation but Peering has the dominant position.
Cobretti is pressed up against the cage. Peering has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cobretti down to the mat. Cobretti avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Marion Cobretti is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cobretti thuds a left hand into Peering's body.

Cobretti cracks Peering with a right hand to the side of the head.
Nice jab there from Cobretti.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Cobretti looks to throw the jab but Peering is out of range.
Cobretti with a hook.
Peering moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Cobretti lands with a right hand.
Cobretti rushes Peering with punches - Peering moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Peering goes down! Cobretti follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
