The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Epp will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Alb slips a jab and a cross from Epp.
Alb throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Alb scores with a shot to the body.
Alb just misses with a punch to the body.

Alb moves into the clinch.
Epp has had enough of the clinch but Alb keeps him there for the moment.
Alb blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Epp cracks Alb with a nice body shot.
Alb tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Epp smiles and moves away.

Epp has Alb up against the cage in a clinch.
Epp working hard to break the clinch.
Alb jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Epp walks away with a smile on his face. Alb gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Alb lands a nice hook to Epp's body. Epp takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Epp avoids the body shot from Alb.
Alb swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Epp misses with a jab, cross combination.
Epp gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Epp fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Alb fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Epp avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Alb. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Alb closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Epp did well to prevent Alb getting side control.

Alb is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Epp has managed to free his arm - good work.

Alb is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Epp sees it coming and defends easily.

Alb is working for a kimura but Epp is defending it quite comfortably.
Alb is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Epp is squirming around, avoiding Alb's attempts to control the action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like Clayton Epp has been cut.
Poor strikes thrown by Alb there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Alb moves to take his opponent's back.
Alb somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.

Alb is cranking Epp's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Epp! He's tightened the choke and Epp is tapping out!
