Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Adam Blacksmith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bullet Bookem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bullet Bookem will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Adam Blacksmith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bullet Bookem!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blacksmith bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Bookem is pushing Blacksmith's head away, looking to escape. Blacksmith manages to hold on to the position though.
Blacksmith slows the pace down.
Blacksmith working away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bookem wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Bookem sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Bookem keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Bookem has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Blacksmith is working away from the top position though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
It looks like Blacksmith is going to stand back up.
Bookem wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are battling for position here. Bookem manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Bookem is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Bookem is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bookem is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Bookem has his takedown stuffed
and Blacksmith counters with a good low kick that Bookem was not able to check.
Bookem looks gassed!
Blacksmith connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Blacksmith shoots in but Bookem avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Bookem doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Blacksmith counters with a series of strikes. Bookem will be more careful next time no doubt.
Bookem sizes up Blacksmith with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Blacksmith tries to close the distance and clinch up but Bookem swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Blacksmith looks to land a combination. Bookem sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Bullet Bookem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Blacksmith clinches.
Bookem tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Adam Blacksmith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bullet Bookem.
Blacksmith keeps control of Bookem as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Blacksmith breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bookem falls off balance throwing a combination

and Blacksmith counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bookem!
Bookem tries to lock up and control but Blacksmith gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Blacksmith really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bookem is wriggling around trying to escape.
Blacksmith tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Bookem really wants to buck Blacksmith off and get back to his feet.
Blacksmith wants to control the pace but Bookem is squirming around nicely.
Blacksmith will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bookem bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Bookem stands up and waves to Blacksmith to follow him.
Blacksmith will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bookem swats away the attempt to clinch by Blacksmith.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bookem throws a body punch but Blacksmith moves out of range.
Blacksmith moves in looking to clinch but Bookem pushes him off.
Blacksmith fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Bookem checks it well.
Bookem misses with a double jab

and Blacksmith counters by moving into the clinch.
Blacksmith is trying to maintain a safe position but Bookem gets an underhook and turns Blacksmith into the cage.

Blacksmith breaks the clinch.
Bookem lands with a cross.
Bookem misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Blacksmith wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Blacksmith throws a hook to the side of Bookem's head but Bookem sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Blacksmith tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Bookem feints and as Blacksmith raises his hands in defense, Bookem changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bookem stands and throws Blacksmith's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Bookem decides to stand back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adam Blacksmith dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Bookem misses the body punch

and Blacksmith holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Blacksmith breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bookem looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Blacksmith is fending him off so far but Bookem persists. Nope, Blacksmith circles away and we're back to standing.
Bookem circles away from the clinch attempt.

Blacksmith closes the distance and clinches.
Bookem is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Blacksmith gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Blacksmith scores with a knee to the head.
Bookem tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Blacksmith just stands there and leans against the cage.
Adam Blacksmith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bullet Bookem.
Bookem wants to break the clinch but can't.
Bookem tries to pull guard but Blacksmith holds him up against the cage and eventually Bookem drops back down to his feet.
Bookem looking for a takedown.
Blacksmith scores with a hook to the body.
Bookem wants to break free but Blacksmith has control.
Bookem tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Bookem fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Blacksmith lands a takedown into guard.

Bookem looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Bookem being controlled here, momentarily.

Bookem is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Blacksmith rolls with it to try and escape but Bookem cranks on the arm and Blacksmith is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Bullet Bookem!
