The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cocoa fails with the takedown.
Shirokov scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Shirokov slips a jab from Cocoa.
Shirokov uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cocoa.
Cocoa shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Shirokov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cocoa.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nick Cocoa. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cocoa misses with an uppercut. Shirokov saw that one coming.
Shirokov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cocoa shoots for a double leg takedown but Shirokov sprawls well. He's pushed Cocoa's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Cocoa is breathing heavily.
Shirokov misses with a jab, cross combination.
Shirokov fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cocoa looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Shirokov is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Cocoa hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
