Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Paul Daley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dick Spencer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Daley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dick Spencer!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daley misses with a takedown attempt - Spencer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Daley looks for a takedown but Spencer sprawls well.

Spencer moves into the clinch.
Daley managing to block the knees to the body from Spencer.
Daley tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Spencer smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Daley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Daley shoots in for a takedown but Spencer shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Daley shoots in looking for a takedown. Spencer tries to sprawl out of it but Daley keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Spencer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Daley tries to roll over but Spencer keeps him under control.

Spencer wants to stand up but Daley has a hold of him and won't allow it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Still in half guard, Spencer seems content to control.
Spencer is thwarting Daley's attempts to control the position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Spencer drives through and clinches with Daley against the cage.

Spencer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Daley is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Daley doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Spencer counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Daley is breathing heavily.
Spencer looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Well, if Spencer is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Spencer is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Spencer avoids the attempt from Daley to control.

Spencer looking to control and managing it successfully.
Daley avoids a series of strikes thrown by Spencer.
Daley is looking to get to half guard.
Spencer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Daley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Spencer has hold of Daley's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Daley manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Spencer tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Daley is bucking up trying to escape but Spencer cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Daley wants to control but Spencer is having none of it.
Spencer controlling the pace for now.
I looks like Spencer might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Spencer looking to ground and pound but Daley is blocking nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Daley's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Spencer looks to land a combination but Daley avoids it well.
Spencer pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Daley has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Spencer.

Spencer decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Daley keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Daley wants to get back to full guard.
Spencer takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Spencer wants to work for an arm triangle but Daley is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Spencer tries to stand but can't do so whilst Daley controls his leg.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Spencer looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Spencer is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Daley doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Spencer.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Spencer in particular looking to stall.
Spencer passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Daley!
Daley wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Spencer.

Poor strikes thrown by Spencer there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Daley tries to hold on but Spencer postures up.

Spencer throws some wild stikes that Daley manages to avoid easily.

Spencer is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Daley is surviving well by controlling Spencer's body position as best he can.
Spencer looking to control and managing it successfully.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Daley tries to lock up and control but Spencer gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dick Spencer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!



Spencer gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Daley ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Daley no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Daley has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Spencer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Spencer plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Spencer drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Spencer wants to pass the guard but Daley is keeping the position.

Spencer gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Spencer forces Daley back against the cage and clinches.

Spencer pulls guard effortlessly.
Spencer managing to control the position.
Spencer's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Spencer had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Daley defends it easily.
Daley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Spencer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Daley postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Spencer is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Daley, into his guard.
Daley not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Dick Spencer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Spencer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
