Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vladimir Mordant!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takanori Gomi!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gomi is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Takanori Gomi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gomi has taken the fight to the clinch.
Gomi wants a takedown.
Gomi manages to pull guard.
Mordant trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Gomi manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Mordant gets caught flat footed, as Gomi shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Gomi postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Gomi wants to pass the guard but Mordant is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mordant utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Gomi trying to move into half guard but instead Mordant has managed to sweep!
Mordant is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Mordant passes Gomi's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Gomi is trying to stand back up but Mordant is controlling him
Gomi tries to get to full guard but Mordant has control of the leg.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mordant wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gomi keeps working.
Gomi gets back to full guard.
Mordant is pushing down on Gomi's leg trying to pass to half guard. Gomi is fighting to maintain full guard but Mordant has managed to sneak the leg through.
Gomi won't allow Mordant to pass to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mordant wants to take a breather but Gomi is having none of it.
Mordant has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Gomi defend it? Mordant steps over the head and cranks it - Gomi is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Mordant!
