Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Zach Fowler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pelle Plutt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fowler moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Fowler rushes Plutt and presses him up against the cage.

Plutt is trying to trip Fowler. He has hold of a leg but Fowler is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Plutt persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Fowler wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Fowler escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fowler throws a head kick that Plutt semi-blocks.

and Plutt counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Plutt wants to take a breather but Fowler is having none of it.
Fowler pushes Plutt off looking to stand but Plutt dives back in and keeps control.

Plutt working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fowler doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fowler manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Plutt is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Plutt had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Fowler is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Plutt Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Fowler's back instead.
