The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LaFleur throws a lazy right hand but McLean sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
LaFleur throws a right and a left that both miss.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as LaFleur checks a leg kick.

LaFleur looks to throw the jab but McLean is out of range.

LaFleur shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McLean as he avoids it easily.
McLean tries to clinch up but LaFleur circles away and keeps his distance.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
McLean misses with a hook.
LaFleur avoids a punch combination nicely.
McLean tries to close the distance and clinch up but LaFleur swats him away and circles back towards the center.
LaFleur misses with a double jab
and McLean counters with a series of strikes. LaFleur will be more careful next time no doubt.
McLean misses with a wild combination.
LaFleur falls off balance throwing a combination
and McLean counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts McLean, as that shot connected.
McLean tries to clinch but LaFleur moves out of range.
McLean lands a slapping body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and McLean connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
McLean changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
McLean throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and McLean takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
LaFleur circles away from the clinch attempt.
LaFleur dodges the punch combination from McLean.
Barry McLean seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McLean tries to clinch but LaFleur is having none of it.

LaFleur loses concentration momentarily and McLean pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! LaFleur crashes face first to the mat, out cold! McLean finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
