The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pudzianowski tries to clinch up.
Pudzianowski moves in looking to clinch but Murray pushes him off.

Murray rushes Pudzianowski and presses him up against the cage.
Pudzianowski wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Murray's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pudzianowski throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Murray counters with a three punch combo that has Pudzianowski backing up. Pudzianowski nods at Murray to acknowledge the strikes.

and Murray counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Murray will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Pudzianowski actively working from the bottom here.
Pudzianowski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Murray. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Murray wants to control but Pudzianowski is keeping him busy.

Murray stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Pudzianowski to get to his feet.
Pudzianowski tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Murray counters by moving into the clinch.
Pudzianowski has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Murray is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Pudzianowski stalling in the clinch but Murray improves position.
Pudzianowski is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and Murray has denied him.
The referee is keeping an eye on Murray - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Pudzianowski jumps guard but Murray stands there with Pudzianowski around his waist. Pudzianowski gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Murray is struggling to control the position.
Murray goes for a takedown in the clinch but Pudzianowski prevents it.

Murray breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Murray misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Pudzianowski is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Murray pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Josh Murray has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mariusz Pudzianowski.

Murray lands a hook that snaps the head of Pudzianowski backwards.

Murray escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Pudzianowski swings for the body but Murray moves out of range.
Murray fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Murray throws a half hearted mid kick.
Murray circles away from the clinch attempt

and Murray counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Murray gets a trip takedown into half guard.

Murray has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Pudzianowski defend it? Murray steps over the head and cranks it - Pudzianowski is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Murray!
