Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mental Mike (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and THE HAMMER (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for HAMMER with that takedown attempt.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Mike leaves HAMMER with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
HAMMER fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Mental Mike has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of THE HAMMER.
Mike misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
HAMMER fails with the takedown.
HAMMER tries to clinch but Mike moves out of range.

Mike changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. HAMMER looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Mike thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Mike tries to score with some ground and pound. HAMMER controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Mike prevents HAMMER from escaping the position.
Mike misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Mike decides to stand back up. Mike steps back and let's HAMMER get back to his feet.
HAMMER misses with a takedown attempt

so Mike counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Mike knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for HAMMER on the ground.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mike content to stall in guard here.

HAMMER preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Mike trying to control but HAMMER is working from the bottom.
Mike has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of HAMMER is proving hard to escape from.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mike throwing strikes from guard but HAMMER blocks nicely.
Mike loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

HAMMER is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mike is aware though and is defending well.
Mike cracks HAMMER with a solid left hand.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Mike postures up in HAMMER's guard and throws a big left but HAMMER blocks it.

Mike gets to his feet - HAMMER follows without any prompting.
Mike lands a right hook to the body.
Mike will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
HAMMER has his takedown stuffed

and Mike counters by moving into the clinch.

Mike is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. HAMMER is aware though and is defending well.

HAMMER stands up from Mike's guard - HAMMER perhaps looking for a knockout.

Mike shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in HAMMER's guard.

HAMMER is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Mike frees his head nicely. Oh but HAMMER has switched to an armbar! Mike is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
