Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alan King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Bays (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alan King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bobby Bays!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bays misses with a series of wild punches.
Bays closes this distance looking for a takedown but King circles away.
King scores with a shot to the body.
King loads up on a big right hand but Bays slips the punch.
Bays fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
King fails to land with a series of punches.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Bays. King shrugs it off though.
Bays lands a nice looking body kick.
Bays takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
King throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bays counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Bays drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Bays working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Bays in side control, throwing shots but King defends.

Bays tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bays has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Bays throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Bays swings around for an armbar but King sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Bays's guard.
Bays wants to control but King passes easily into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Bays tries to roll over but King keeps him under control.
Bays makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bays.
Bays manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. King manages to get himself to full guard.
Bays throws and elbow that misses. King uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bays's guard. Nice move by King!
Bays is pulling down on King's head to control his posture.
King is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Bays is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Bays wants to improve his position but instead King has moved into half guard.
King content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Bays slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Bays wants to hit a switch here but King passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Bays there!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Bays is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bays manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Bays makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bobby Bays dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Bays tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but King paws at him with a jab and circles away.
King tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Bays is able to avoid easily.
King fails to land with a series of punches.
Bays throws a head kick that misses.
King uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bays.

King tries to keep at a distance but Bays has taken the fight into the clinch.
Bays tries for a takedown. No joy.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
King lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Bays.
Bays is working for takedown but King is calmly controlling the position for now.

Bays escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
King moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Bays walks into a straight right hand from King.
King lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

and Bays counters by moving into the clinch.

King prevents a takedown attempt there.
Alan King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bobby Bays.
Bays is breathing heavily.
Bays wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
A left hand lands to the body for King.
Bays drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
King makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
King lands a shoulder strike.
Bays is trying to break the clinch but King has him pressed against the cage.

King lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Bays as King tries to tie him up.

King lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Bays or not.
King lands a left hand.

The referee is keeping an eye on King - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

King rushes Bays and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
King trying to stall but Bays improves his position.
King managing to block the knees to the body from Bays.

King lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Bays drops down looking for an ankle pick but King pulls his leg out and moves away.
Bays darts in trying to clinch
letting King counter with a right hand.
King misses with a two punch combination.
Bays throws a lazy head kick
enabling King to counter with a crisp jab.
An inside leg kick lands from King.

Bays looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for King!

Bays breaks from King's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Bays throwing strikes but King recovers to half guard. A much better position.

Bays is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so King is just riding it out for now. Bays eventually gives up the hold.
King is controlling Bays's trapped leg to prevent Bays from advancing to side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Bays closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bays lands in his opponent's guard.
King avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
King utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Bays working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Bays throws a strike but King rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
King showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Bays is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Bays wants to hit a switch here but King passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Bays there!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bays is looking to get to half guard.
Bays is trying to reverse the position but instead King has taken his back - oops!

Bays looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
King is not going to allow Bays to sit and survive in this position.

King is riding his opponent, not letting Bays buck him off.
Bays is trying to get back to his feet but King has full control of the position and if anything, Bays has just worked his way into a worse spot.
King controlling well, preventing Bays from escaping the position.

I would just about give that final round to Bobby Bays.
I think Bays has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
