PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sean Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Litran Kossu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kossu has chosen Holy Diver - Dio as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Sean Taylor!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Litran Kossu!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Steven Brown and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kossu decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Taylor has hold of Kossu's hands but Kossu slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Kossu thows a huge punch but Taylor dodges it nicely.
Kossu prevents Taylor from standing back up.
Kossu trying to mount his opponent but Taylor defends it.
Kossu has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Kossu wants to work for an arm triangle but Taylor is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Taylor looks like he's trying to stand up.

Kossu is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Taylor doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kossu.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A combination from Taylor does no damage.

Kossu throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Taylor was covering up waiting for the punch and Kossu finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Taylor makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Taylor looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Taylor really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Kossu throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Taylor's waist but Taylor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kossu off to one side.

Litran Kossu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kossu shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Taylor pinned against the cage. Taylor gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Kossu feints and as Taylor raises his hands in defense, Kossu changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Taylor lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Taylor sizes up Kossu with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Kossu throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Taylor stuffs the takedown attempt from Kossu. Kossu gets slowly back to his feet.
Sean Taylor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Litran Kossu.

Litran Kossu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Kossu fails with the takedown.
Kossu looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Taylor throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A slow jab from Kossu misses its intended target.
Kossu tries to score a power double leg takedown but Taylor sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kossu somewhat.
Sean Taylor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Litran Kossu.
Taylor swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Kossu drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Kossu drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Kossu as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Taylor screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Kossu! Nice submission victory there!
