The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Nice takedown defense from Jones. No joy for Norris on that attempt.
Norris walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Chuck Norris seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones tries to work over Norris's front leg with a kick but Norris checks it.
Jones fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Norris checks it well.
Jones misses with a body kick.

Norris feints and as Jones raises his hands in defense, Norris changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Jones looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Norris seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Jones wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Jones wants to improve his position but instead Norris has moved into half guard.
Jones is looking for a sweep. Norris is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Norris is thwarting Jones's attempts to control the position.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jones is working hard here to advance position.

That was a close round but I would say that Kevin Jones will probably get the nod.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Norris looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Norris fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Norris shoots in and drives through. Jones sprawls well.
Norris is breathing heavily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Jones connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Norris! He's out on his feet! Jones rushes in and drops Norris with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
