Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Beeg Dong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hunter Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rose has chosen Black Steel In The Hour Of Chaos as his entrance music. Hunter Rose has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Dong as Rose shoots in.
Hunter Rose seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rose feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Dong is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Dong wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rose keeps working.
Rose is trying to stand.
Dong seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rose does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Dong will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Dong stalling away here and it's allowed Rose to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Rose should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Dong is breathing heavily.
Rose wants to get back to his feet but Dong passes into half guard.
Dong passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Rose!
Rose really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dong. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dong tries to control but Rose wriggling away.
Rose throwing hammer fists to the chest of Dong. What's that going to do exactly?

Rose wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Dong working for a submission but Rose is keeping him at bay.

Dong wants to finish this one by submission but Rose is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Dong.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dong is working for a guillotine from mount but Rose frees his head quite easily.
Dong wants to control the pace but Rose is squirming around nicely.
Dong lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Dong raining down shots from the mount!
BOOM! Dong connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Dong with shots to the head and body - Rose looks very uncomfortable down there.

It looks like Hunter Rose has been cut.

Dong has hold of Rose's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rose manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rose squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Rose is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Dong takes Rose's back, avoiding a couple of desperation strikes from the bottom.
Rose wants to get back to his feet.
Rose manages to reverse the position and now he's in Dong's guard. Nice work there by Rose.
Rose is in close to Dong's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Dong looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rose is one step ahead there.

Rose has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Dong is proving hard to escape from.
Dong lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rose!
Dong wants to take Rose's back but he can't do it this time.
Dong wants to control the pace but Rose is squirming around nicely.
Rose is in all sorts of trouble here.
Dong looking to finish Rose with some ground and pound. This is bad for Rose!
Rose looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!

Rose manages to stand up with Dong still on his back. Eventually Dong drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position.

Dong gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Rose gets to his feet - Dong follows without any prompting.
Nice takedown defense from Dong. No joy for Rose on that attempt.

Rose tries to hold on but Dong pushes him away.
Rose wants to get back to his feet.
Rose tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Dong blocks Rose's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Rose is trying to escape the mount but Dong keeps good control and instead manages to take Rose's back.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dong working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Rose is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Dong has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Rose taps out!
