Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between True Thug (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Shinault (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thug comes to the cage accompanied by til i collapse. True Thug has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, True Thug!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Anthony Shinault !
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shinault fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Shinault on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Shinault misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Thug gets caught flat footed, as Shinault shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Thug has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Shinault can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Thug tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Shinault trying to control the position from guard on top but Thug is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Thug pulls Shinault in close to prevent any damage.
Shinault wants to pass the guard but Thug is keeping the position.

Thug working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Shinault doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Shinault manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shinault wants to stand and escape but instead Thug has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Thug is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Thug stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Shinault swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Shinault makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Shinault .
True Thug has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Shinault .
Horrible takedown by Shinault or perhaps it was just good defense by Thug which made him look bad.

Shinault doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Thug fails to land with a series of punches.

Shinault gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Thug to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Thug is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Thug misses with a wild body shot.
Thug throws a looping overhand right but Shinault ducks down to avoid it.

Shinault avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Thug slaps away a takedown attempt from Shinault , before circling back to the center of the mat.
Thug misses with a hook. Shinault ducked under it nicely.

Anthony Shinault is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Shinault throws and elbow that misses. Thug uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Shinault 's guard. Nice move by Thug!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Thug drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Thug jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Shinault is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Thug pulls his head out easily.

Thug swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
