Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mason Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rolf Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mason Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rolf Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stone's guard.

Stone had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Jackson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Stone Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jackson's back instead.
Jackson looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Jackson breaks Stone's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Stone escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jackson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Jackson wants to control from the top but Stone keeps moving.
Stone tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Stone bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jackson's guard.

Jackson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stone manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Jackson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Stone defends it well.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Jackson throws out a leg kick but Stone moves out of range and Jackson only half commits.

Jackson is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Stone is surviving well by controlling Jackson's body position as best he can.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Jackson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Stone tries to reverse the position but Jackson maintains control.
Stone is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Jackson has taken his back.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mason Stone.
Well Jackson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
