Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marco Noriega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonh Rivers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rivers comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Darude Sandstorm kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Jonh Rivers has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Marco Noriega's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivers fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Noriega avoids it really well and circles away.
Noriega is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rivers.
Rivers shoots in for a takedown but Noriega shows good takedown defense.
Jab, jab by Noriega - just one landing.

It looks like Jonh Rivers has been cut.
Rivers tries to close the distance and clinch but Noriega swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Noriega scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Rivers doesn't seem bothered though.
Noriega throws a body punch but Rivers moves out of range.
Noriega comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Rivers has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Noriega is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Rivers.
Rivers seems to have recovered his senses.

Rivers takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
