Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Wood Pile (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dish Water (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wood Pile!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dish Water!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pile tries to clinch up but Water circles away and keeps his distance.
Water looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Water closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Water stands up and beckons Pile to his feet.
Pile thows a left - swing and a miss!
Water shoots in for a double leg but Pile sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Water keeps the fight on the outside.
Nice sprawl there from Pile as Water shoots in.
Wood Pile has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dish Water.

Pile is looking to escape.

Water escapes and gets back to his feet.
Pile swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Water counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pile tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Water prevents Pile from getting back to his feet.
Pile manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Water manages to get himself to full guard.
Water wants to sweep here but Pile controlling him for the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Water seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Water is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Water looking for subs off his back but Pile has passed one foot through into half guard.
Water tries to get to full guard but Pile has control of the leg.
Pile throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Pile is trying to control the action in half guard but Water is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Water has hold of Pile's hands but Pile slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Water is trying to stand back up but Pile is controlling him
Pile drops an elbow to the side of Water's head.

Water actively working from the bottom here.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Pile closes the distance and clinches.
Pile throws a head punch that misses.

Pile pulls Water into guard.
Pile keeping moving, preventing Water from controlling successfully.
Water must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Water prevents Pile from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Water wants to pass the guard but Pile is keeping the position.
Water is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Water drops back looking for a leg! Pile is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pile manages to kick Water off! Water jumps back into Pile's guard.
Water looks gassed!

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Pile tries for a takedown but Water circles away easily

and Water counters with a single leg into guard. Pile didn't expect that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pile will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Pile wants to improve his position but instead Water has moved into half guard.
Pile wants to get back to his feet.
Water wants to control but Pile is keeping him busy.
Pile tries to get to full guard but Water has control of the leg.

Water is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Pile tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Water counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Water.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Water drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Water jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Water thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dish Water dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Water counters with a single leg into guard. Pile didn't expect that.
Water trying to control the position from guard on top but Pile is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pile controls Water momentarily but Water frees himself.
Pile keeping moving, preventing Water from controlling successfully.

Water is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Pile is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Pile manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Water is in all sorts of trouble here.
Water wants to control but Pile is having none of it.
Pile wants to control the pace but Water is squirming around nicely.
Water is looking to improve his position but Pile isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pile fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Water tries to hold on but Pile pushes him away.
Water taking shots to the head.
Water tries to reverse the position but Pile maintains control.
Water wants to control but Pile is having none of it.
Water is working to get back to half guard.
A nice elbow there by Pile.

Pile is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Water can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Water tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Pile throws some wild stikes that Water manages to avoid easily.
Pile breaks from Water's wrist control and lands an elbow.

A nice elbow there by Pile.
Water working to try and regain half guard.
Water bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Pile working for a triangle but Water defends it easily.
Water stands up over Pile, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Dish Water has got the better of the ground game so far.
Pile working a defensive guard but Water manages to pass into side control anyway.

Water tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Water has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Pile throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Water decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Pile tries to kick Water off but Water keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Water is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Pile is not content to let Water control the position.

Water is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Pile is just riding it out for now. Water eventually gives up the hold.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Dish Water will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Pile's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

and Water counters with a shoot takedown. Pile fights it but they end up in guard.
Pile wants to stand and escape but Water is having none of it.

Water trying to control but Pile is working from the bottom.
Water pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pile is keeping the position for now.
Pile throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Water with a nice head shot there.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Pile is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Water wants to control from the top but Pile keeps moving.
Water passes Pile's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Water passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Pile!
Pile wants to control but Water is having none of it.
Pile is squirming around, avoiding Water's attempts to control the action.
Water avoids the attempt from Pile to control.
Pile is in all sorts of trouble here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Water is working for a guillotine from mount but Pile frees his head quite easily.
Water trying to control but Pile is having none of it.

Water goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Pile is on top in guard.
Water not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Water tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Water being controlled here, momentarily.
Pile stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Water swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Water is controlling Pile's posture.
Water wants to stand up but Pile is controlling him.
Pile trying to control the position from guard on top but Water is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Pile got a little sloppy there for a moment and Water has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pile has managed to get both his arms back between Water's legs - danger averted.
Pile lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Water is pulling down on Pile's head to control his posture.
Wood Pile has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Wood Pile.
I think Water has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
