Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joey Stageberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernando Ribeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stageberg comes into the arena with Bone Thugs and Harmony - Tha' Crossroads blaring out of the sound system. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stageberg misses with a takedown attempt - Ribeiro sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Ribeiro lands a high kick!
Ribeiro throws a quick inside leg kick.
Ribeiro gets a takedown into half guard.
Stageberg looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Stageberg is trying is best to control the position here.
Ribeiro wants to work for an arm triangle but Stageberg is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Stageberg makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Ribeiro is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Stageberg's half guard.

Ribeiro uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Stageberg.
Ribeiro shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Stageberg but Stageberg pushes him off and we're back to square one.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Ribeiro trying to control the position but instead, Stageberg has worked for underhooks and has pushed Ribeiro into the ropes.

Stageberg lands a body shot in the clinch.
Ribeiro prevents a takedown attempt there.

Ribeiro is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Stageberg makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Stageberg comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Ribeiro pushes off an throws an elbow but Stageberg leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the ropes.
Stageberg breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ribeiro throws and low kick but Stageberg moves out of range easily.
Stageberg tries to bum rush Ribeiro with a series of wild strikes but Ribeiro uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Stageberg tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Ribeiro paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Stageberg lands a jab to the nose.
Ribeiro looks gassed!
Ribeiro takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Ribeiro is rocked!
Stageberg connects with a nice cross there... Ribeiro is looking wobbly and Stageberg recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Ribeiro to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Stageberg jumps onto the ropes to celebrate with the crowd!
