PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dave Framestar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erik Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Framestar comes to the cage accompanied by Biggest & the best - Clawfinger. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dave Framestar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Erik Drake!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Framestar will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Drake fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Framestar has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.


It looks like Dave Framestar has been cut.
Framestar is trying hard to land a takedown here. Drake sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Drake throws a series of punches but Framestar moves out of range.

Framestar shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Framestar scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Framestar seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Framestar is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Drake reverses the position - he's now on top in Framestar's guard.

Erik Drake is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Framestar shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Drake napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Framestar shoots for a double leg takedown but Drake sprawls well. He's pushed Framestar's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Drake has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Framestar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Framestar stands and steps away. Drake gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Framestar shoots in but Drake avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Drake lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Framestar circles away quickly and effectively.
Drake throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Framestar on the side of the head.
Framestar takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Framestar reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Framestar taps out! nice BJJ there by Drake!
