Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between King Mo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerome Fruithandler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jerome Fruithandler will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Reed Andrews and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mo shoots in looking for a takedown. Fruithandler tries to sprawl out of it but Mo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fruithandler manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mo avoids a punch combination nicely.
Fruithandler doesn't manage to clinch there - Mo circles away.

Mo lands a left and a right that send Fruithandler crashing to the mat, dazed. Mo thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

A punch lands to the side of Mo 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Mo takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Mo steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Fruithandler.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fruithandler is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Mo dives into side control.

Mo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Fruithandler, who protects the arm well.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
The fight stays on the outside here - Fruithandler looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Fruithandler lands a nice hook to Mo's body. Mo takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Fruithandler lands a glancing blow to the side of Mo's head.

Fruithandler throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Mo counters with a three punch combo that has Fruithandler backing up. Fruithandler nods at Mo to acknowledge the strikes.
Jerome Fruithandler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fruithandler throws a shot from downtown. Mo moves away and avoids it.
Fruithandler looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Fruithandler is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mo.
Mo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fruithandler moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Mo counters with a head kick that drops Fruithandler to the mat! Fruithandler scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Fruithandler tries to hold on but Mo pushes him away.
Mo sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Fruithandler seems to have recovered his senses.

Fruithandler wants to control but Mo is having none of it.
Mo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Mo is looking to work his way around to Fruithandler's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
Fruithandler is wriggling around trying to escape.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fruithandler stuffs the takedown attempt from Mo. Mo gets slowly back to his feet.

Fruithandler shoots in for a takedown but Mo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Fruithandler connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Mo looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

That was a close second round but I would say that King Mo will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Let's hope that Fruithandler has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Mo bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Fruithandler lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Mo!
Mo gets back to half guard.

Fruithandler perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Fruithandler's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Fruithandler is trying to control. Mo wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Mo on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Mo tries to get out of the position.

Mo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Fruithandler doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Fruithandler manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fruithandler accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
