Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Heihachi Hayashida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Collani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Heihachi Hayashida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hans Collani!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Kenichi Hosakawa and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hayashida gets the takedown into side control.
Hayashida is working Collani over with some ground and pound from side control.

Hayashida thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Collani managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Hayashida.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Collani sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Hayashida seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Collani tries to kick Hayashida off but Hayashida keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Hayashida is looking to take a break and control but Collani is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hayashida is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Collani is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Collani is controlling Hayashida's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Hayashida has gone for a leg lock! Collani slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hayashida's guard.

Collani decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

and Collani counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hayashida's guard now.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Collani keeping moving, preventing Hayashida from controlling successfully.

Hayashida postures up in Collani's guard and throws a big left but Collani blocks it.
Hayashida looking to sit in guard and control but Collani gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Hayashida is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Heihachi Hayashida will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Collani closes the distance but Hayashida moves to the side

and Hayashida counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Collani bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hayashida's guard.

Hayashida working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Collani doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Collani manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Heihachi Hayashida overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Hayashida is staying active underneath Collani, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Collani is just content to waste time from the top position. Hayashida takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Collani wants to stand but Hayashida is controlling his posture from full guard.

Hans Collani showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Collani has control of Hayashida's left arm, preventing Hayashida from doing any damage.

Hayashida gets to his feet - Collani follows without any prompting.

and Hayashida decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Collani's guard.
Hayashida wants to control from the top but Collani keeps moving.
Hayashida is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Hayashida drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Hayashida as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Collani screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Hayashida! Nice submission victory there!
