Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orwen looks to land a right hand but Shottah moved out of range.
Orwen is looking to clinch but Shottah is avoiding it.
Orwen misses with a head kick.

Orwen missing with a left hand there. Shottah was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Shottah on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

Orwen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Shottah is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Orwen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Shottah is just riding it out for now. Orwen eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Orwen is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Shottah has managed to free his arm - good work.
Shottah moves into full guard.
Shottah is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Orwen is aware though and is defending well.
Orwen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Orwen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Orwen is trying desperately to improve position.
Orwen tries to lock up and control but Shottah gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Shottah swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Orwen is now in Shottah's guard. A big mistake from Shottah there, giving up the dominant position!

Orwen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Shottah closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Orwen did well to prevent Shottah getting side control.
Shottah is looking for a kimura but Orwen is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Shottah to get the leverage.

Orwen is pulling down on Shottah's head. It's preventing any offense from Shottah, at least for the moment.
Shottah stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Orwen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Orwen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Shottah doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Shottah manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Orwen is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Shottah to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Shottah shrugs it off.
Shottah is wriggling around trying to escape.
Orwen looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Poor strikes thrown by Orwen there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Orwen has hold of Shottah's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Shottah manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Shottah is trying to escape the mount.
Orwen unloads with some shots from mount but Shottah bucks and avoids them well.
Orwen works his way to his opponent's back.
Will Orwen go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Orwen is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Orwen is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Shottah defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
