The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wasa lands with an uppercut that bounces Pennanen off the cage and back into rage.
Wasa throws a nice looking combination but Pennanen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Wasa works Pennanen's body with a nice hook.

Pennanen isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Wasa stacks Pennanen on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Wasa!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Wasa can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Pennanen is looking to escape.

You can see the frustration on Pennanen's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Edvin Wasa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Pennanen throws and elbow that misses. Wasa uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pennanen's guard. Nice move by Wasa!

Pennanen throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Wasa escapes and throws Pennanen's legs to the side, diving into side control!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Pennanen is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Wasa really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pennanen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Well Wasa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
