The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nikifor throws a looping overhand right but Jones ducks down to avoid it.
A combination from Jones does no damage.
Jones moves forwards but Nikifor connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Jones tries to bum rush Nikifor with a series of wild strikes but Nikifor uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nice jab there from Jones.
Nikifor lands with an overhand left.
Nikifor tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jones was well out of range. Poor timing from Nikifor.
Nice straight punches there by Jones. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Jones.
Nikifor throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Lev Nikifor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nikifor walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Nikifor connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Jones! He's out on his feet! Nikifor rushes in and drops Jones with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
