Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kendall Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Palito Fairtex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fairtex comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Spiderman- The Ramones kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves looks to score with a jab to the body but Fairtex is just out of range.

Alves shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fairtex sprawls well. Fairtex wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Alves gets slowly back to his feet.

Alves changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fairtex tries to avoid it but Alves manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fairtex to the ground. Fairtex escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kendall Alves.
I think Fairtex has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
