PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jenson Rawlins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee lands a nice hook to Rawlins's body. Rawlins takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Lee fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rawlins manages to avoid it.
Lee throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Rawlins stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Lee tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Rawlins was well out of range. Poor timing from Lee.
Rawlins tries to bum rush Lee with a series of wild strikes but Lee uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rawlins tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lee sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rawlins somewhat.

Lee comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Rawlins throws a lazy right hand but Lee sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Rawlins shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lee's guard.
Lee wants to sweep here but Rawlins controlling him for the moment.

Lee is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rawlins is aware though and is defending well.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Rawlins is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Lee has managed to free his arm - good work.
Lee holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Rawlins is looking to advance position but Lee won't allow it.

That's time! Rawlins's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Lee stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lee wants it to stay on the feet.

Rawlins throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lee's waist but Lee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rawlins off to one side.

Rawlins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lee tries to avoid it but Rawlins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lee to the ground. Lee escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Lee avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Rawlins.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jenson Rawlins.
I think Lee has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
