Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hidoki Masawa!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herman shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Masawa as he jumps to the side.
Masawa slips under a jab from Herman.
Masawa lands a head shot.
Masawa keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Masawa shoots in and bounces Herman off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Masawa throws and elbow that misses. Herman uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Masawa's guard. Nice move by Herman!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Masawa had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Herman is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Masawa Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Herman's back instead.
Herman wants to escape the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Masawa lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
Masawa gets his hands free as Herman looks to control.
Masawa has got one arm under Herman's chin. This could be trouble... Herman trying to control the other hand but Masawa gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Herman has tapped out! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Hidoki Masawa!
