Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Daiki Hata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hatsu Hioki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hata circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hioki looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Hata rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hioki moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hata throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hioki.
Hata goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Hata tries to bum rush Hioki with a series of wild strikes but Hioki uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Hata counters with a three punch combo that has Hioki backing up. Hioki nods at Hata to acknowledge the strikes.

Hioki is rocked!
Daiki Hata is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hata misses with the combination.
A combination from Hata does no damage.
Hata throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Hioki counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Hata misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Hioki winds up and cracks Hata with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Hata is breathing heavily.

Hioki is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hata is just riding it out for now. Hioki eventually gives up the hold.
Hioki seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hata does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Hata throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hioki.

Hata looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

and Hata counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

A close round but Hatsu Hioki will probably get the nod.

Hioki tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hata swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Hata is in trouble now - Hioki has advanced to mount!

Hioki wants to control but Hata has made it back to half guard. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hata is trying to maintain the position but Hioki is very close to passing his half guard.
Hioki frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Hioki prevents Hata from getting the reversal.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hata knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hioki on the ground.

Hata on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hata tries to get out of the position.

Hioki cracks Hata with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hioki is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Hata!
Hioki breaks from Hata's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Hatsu Hioki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Hioki has an Americana. Hata didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Hioki is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Hioki hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
