Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ratrick Obeh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mercury Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Obeh comes to the cage accompanied by Quake Arena. Jones has chosen . as his entrance music. Mercury Jones will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to bum rush Obeh with a series of wild strikes but Obeh uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jones throws a right hand that Obeh ducks under and follows up with a left that Obeh also avoids with ease.
Jones throws a right and a left that both miss.
Jones throws a jab but it's blocked by Obeh.
Obeh dodges the punch combination from Jones.
Obeh misses with a series of wild punches.
Jones takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Obeh thows a body kick. Jones tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Obeh fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jones.
Obeh thuds his shin into the meat of Jones's side.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Obeh punishes Jones's body with a nice straight punch.
Jones closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Jones tries to keep at a distance but Obeh has taken the fight into the clinch.

Obeh breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jones walks forward, straight into a front kick from Obeh.

Jones throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Obeh counters with a good, hard body kick but Jones shrugs it off.
Jones takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Obeh bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jones's head backwards.
Jones has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Obeh.

Obeh avoids the body shot from Jones.

Jones chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Obeh can pounce on him.
Obeh throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Jones.
Jones throws out a loose jab but Obeh uses good head movement to avoid it.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Obeh.

Good leg kick by Obeh there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Jones tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Obeh throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mercury Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Obeh counters with a head kick.
Jones loads up on a big right hand but Obeh slips the punch.
Obeh rushes Jones and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Jones lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Obeh fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jones looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Jones throws a left and a right that both miss
and Obeh counters with a nice low kick that buckles Jones's knee momentarily.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Obeh.
Obeh cracks Jones with a right hand to the side of the head.
Left hook, right uppercut from Obeh.
Jones misses with a combination
and Obeh counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Jones takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
A nice combination there by Jones.
Obeh throws a head kick that misses.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Jones counters with a straight right hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ratrick Obeh dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Obeh counters with a body kick.
Jones misses with a two punch combination.
Obeh tries to clinch but Jones is having none of it.

Good standup being displayed there by Obeh as he connects with a hook.

Obeh throws a front kick that sends Jones stumbling back into the cage.
Obeh thuds his right hand into Jones's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Jones is rocked!
Jones drops his hands momentarily and Obeh needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Jones just on the top of the head. Jones drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Jones - he's done!
