Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jik Sun Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeshi Inoue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jik Sun Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takeshi Inoue!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee lands with a kick to the temple. Inoue shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"


It looks like Takeshi Inoue has been cut.
Lee tries to close the distance and clinch up but Inoue swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lee looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Inoue throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Lee's head.
Lee is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Lee throws a sloppy head kick
and Inoue counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Lee throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Lee misses with a hook to the body
and Inoue cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Inoue circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lee tries a head kick but it misses.

Inoue drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Inoue looks gassed!

Lee tries to improve position but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Inoue tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Inoue is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lee knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Lee manages to work his way to half guard, despite Inoue's best efforts.
Lee manages to get to full guard.

Lee looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Lee avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Inoue slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Inoue is looking to stand up but Lee won't let him.
Lee thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Lee wants to sweep but no luck.
Lee keeping moving, preventing Inoue from controlling successfully.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Lee throws a lazy uppercut

and Inoue counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Inoue.
Inoue tries to land a knee to the head but Lee blocks with his arms.

Inoue looking to slow down the pace here.

Lee taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Inoue tries to score a body lock takedown but Lee shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Inoue lands a nice elbow.
Inoue tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Inoue has had enough of the clinch but Lee keeps him there for the moment.
Inoue jumps guard but Lee stands there with Inoue around his waist. Inoue gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Lee has a couple of punches blocked by Inoue.
Inoue throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Lee blocks it with crossed arms.

Lee has picked Inoue up - he's going for a ride! Lee dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Inoue won't allow Lee to pass to mount.
Lee is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Inoue!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Inoue is rocked!

Lee landing punches.
Inoue is still in real trouble! Can Lee finish him?
Lee connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Lee landing strikes from the mount.
Lee has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Inoue's face.

Lee is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Inoue has managed to escape the submission attempt.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The cut man is working on Takeshi Inoue's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Lee falls off balance throwing a combination

and Inoue counters by moving into the clinch.
Inoue seems to have recovered his senses.
Lee wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Inoue has him pressed against the cage.

Inoue lands a takedown into guard.
Inoue won't allow Lee to sweep him here.

Lee is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Lee is trying to keep Inoue in close.
Inoue wants to control from the top but Lee keeps moving.
Lee wants to sweep here but Inoue controlling him for the moment.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Inoue sitting in guard here, content to control.
Lee can't keep his opponent in guard - Inoue advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Lee is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Lee moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Lee is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Lee looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lee is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Inoue dives into side control.
Lee tries to bench press Inoue off him but Inoue keeps the position.
Inoue has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Lee!
Lee regains half guard.
Inoue sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Lee defending well though.
Inoue lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Inoue wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lee keeps working.

Inoue wants to pass to mount but Lee is defending the position.
Lee is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Inoue performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Inoue is looking to take a break and control but Lee is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Inoue blocks the strikes from Lee.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Inoue counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Inoue.
Inoue can't break the clinch.
Lee will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Inoue up against the cage.

Lee manages to break the clinch.
Inoue avoids the body shot from Lee.
Lee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lee throws a sloppy head kick and Inoue moves out of range easily.
Lee misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lee is looking to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Takeshi Inoue showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Lee tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Inoue tries to clinch up

and Lee moves into the clinch.

Lee breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lee throws a combination that misses

and Inoue counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Inoue.
Lee is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Lee seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Inoue does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Inoue is trying to get back to full guard.

Lee scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Lee is stalling here. Inoue is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Lee seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Inoue has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Jik Sun Lee overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Lee tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Inoue wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Lee sneaks back into half guard.
Inoue wants to pass the guard but Lee is defending well.
Inoue throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Lee gets full guard.
Inoue lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Inoue wants to pass the guard but Lee is keeping the position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Inoue drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lee looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lee looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lee!

Lee is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Inoue is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Inoue tries to control but Lee manages to take his back.
Can Inoue hold on?! Lee is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Lee is working the ground and pound. Can Inoue escape?
Inoue holding both Lee 's hands and preventing any damage.

Lee has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lee doesn't have the hooks in and Inoue manages to turn into his guard.
Inoue preventing the sweep.
Inoue connects with a couple of short punches.
Lee manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Inoue manages to get himself to full guard.
Lee won't allow Inoue to sweep him here.
Lee pushes down on Inoue's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Lee tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Lee moves nicely into side control.
Inoue takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Lee looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Inoue is trying to get back to half guard.
Inoue misses with a strike from the bottom.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jik Sun Lee showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Lee has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
