Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shut Up (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and TJ Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as TJ Coleman enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Shut Up!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, TJ Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Up's waist but Up gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Coleman off to one side.
Up misses with a takedown
and Coleman counters with a low kick, right behind Up 's knee.
Coleman moves in looking to clinch but Up pushes him off.
Coleman lands a nice looking body shot.
Coleman misses with the combination.

Up shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Up lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Up landing strikes from the mount and Coleman is in trouble!

Coleman bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Up wants to sweep but no luck.
Coleman working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Coleman is working Up over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Up looking to hit a scissor sweep but Coleman is one step ahead there.
Coleman connects with a couple of short punches.
Coleman advances to half guard.
Coleman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Up keeps working.
Coleman working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Up is breathing heavily.
Up is refusing to be controlled, as Coleman sits in half guard.

Coleman moves into full mount! Up won't be happy about that!
Coleman wants to control the pace but Up is squirming around nicely.

Coleman wants to get back to his feet but Up is holding on tight.
Up tries to reverse the position but Coleman maintains control.

Coleman has hold of Up's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Up manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Up really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Up is bucking up trying to escape but Coleman cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Coleman putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Coleman takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Coleman trying to control but Up is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but TJ Coleman will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Up takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Up shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Coleman's guard.

Coleman is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Up defends well.
Up keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Coleman's head.
Coleman is trying to keep Up in close.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Up landing with the ground and pound.
Up passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Up scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Coleman to see if he's OK.
Coleman takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Up is chipping away with strikes.
Up scores with a couple of short elbows.
Coleman on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Up throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Up grinds an elbow into Coleman's temple.
Coleman is looking to reverse the position.

Up decides to stand back up. Up steps back and let's Coleman get back to his feet.
Up fails with the takedown

and Coleman counters with a nice double leg into side control. Up won't be happy with that.
Up is trying to control Coleman's posture but Coleman avoids it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Up manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Coleman wants to control but Up is keeping him busy.
Coleman drops an elbow to the side of Up's head.
Up wants to control but Coleman is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Coleman throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Coleman missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Up tries for a takedown but Coleman circles away easily
and Coleman counters with a head kick.
Coleman lands a high kick!

and Up counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Up with a flurry of punches that miss.
Coleman pulls Up in to control the position.
Up postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Up landing with the ground and pound.
Coleman wants to stand up but Up is controlling him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Up pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Coleman is keeping the position for now.

Coleman is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Up looking to sit in guard and control but Coleman gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Up postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shut Up dominated that second round.
That's time! Up's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Coleman keeps Up at a distance using the push kick.

Up drives through with a takedown into guard.
Up is looking to advance position but Coleman has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Up takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Coleman is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Up can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Poor strikes thrown by Coleman there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Up is trying to escape the mount.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Coleman scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Coleman misses with a head shot.
Coleman working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Up manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Up is pressing down on Coleman's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back.
Coleman wants to control from the top but Up keeps moving.

Up trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Up keeping full guard, as Coleman tries to pass.

And that's the end of the fight!
Shut Up showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Up has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
