Sanchez has chosen Naughty by Nature - O.P.P. as his entrance music. Carlos Sanchez struggled to make weight for this fight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Smith tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sanchez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Smith somewhat.
Smith shoots for a double leg takedown but Sanchez sprawls well. He's pushed Smith's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Smith fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pepe Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Smith.
Smith closes the distance and clinches up with Sanchez, looking for a takedown. Smith pushes Sanchez against the cage but Sanchez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Sanchez shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Smith napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Sanchez is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Smith has escaped the position, nice work there.

Sanchez is working to tighten is grip on Smith's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Smith has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Sanchez is really squeezing tight and eventually Smith passes out! Sanchez breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
