Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tyrell Badd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fred Joe!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Matheus Silva and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joe lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.


It looks like Tyrell Badd has been cut.
Badd shoots in looking for a takedown. Joe tries to sprawl out of it but Badd keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Joe manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Badd thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Joe's head.
Joe tries to get to full guard but Badd has control of the leg.
Joe on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Joe is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Joe trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Badd loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Joe working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Badd doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Badd manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Badd chips away with some ground and pound.

Joe is trying to keep Badd in close.
Badd knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Joe on the ground.

Joe has his foot on Badd's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Badd works his way back into a safe position though.

Joe makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Joe.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Badd accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Badd works over Joe with some ground and pound from guard.
Joe avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Badd throws and elbow that misses. Joe uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Badd's guard. Nice move by Joe!
Badd is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Joe shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Joe connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Joe has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Badd is forced to tap!
