The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracielo shoots in and drives through. Mrowiec sprawls well.

Gracielo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Gracielo advances to full mount.

Gracielo jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Mrowiec is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Mrowiec and Gracielo has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gracielo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Gracielo is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mrowiec has escaped the position, nice work there.
Mrowiec is trying to control Gracielo's posture but Gracielo avoids it.
Mrowiec really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracielo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gracielo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Mrowiec knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Gracielo is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mrowiec to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mrowiec shrugs it off.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gracielo goes for an armbar but Mrowiec turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Mrowiec.

Mrowiec has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gracielo is proving hard to escape from.
Mrowiec lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Mrowiec stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracielo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mrowiec wants to control from the top but Gracielo keeps moving.

Gracielo escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mrowiec gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Mrowiec would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Mrowiec is posturing up here but Gracielo has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Mrowiec tries to roll out but it's too tight and Mrowiec has to tap! Slick submission there by Gracielo!
